Not only has Chris Fildes edited this edition but she's also written most of the articles: Helen Richardson's summer walk; the cycling day; Caro's garden party; Jane Fairclough's open garden charity event. Dave and Vanessa's late summer stroll is covered by Helen Richardson and Andrew Walker shares some of his memories of Brian Winstanley. Unfortunately we also have to report the loss of of Roy Dearden, Paul Herbert and Freda Moody.

The annual end of season party has a brief report from Paul Latham who's also mentioned in Ruth Bacci's article regarding a number of members who are now entering triathlons. Helen Richardson covers Joy Parsons' Spring Walk and a visit to Muncaster Castle and a walk around Devoke Water as part of the Cumbria weekend. This popular event included walks over Muncaster Fell (rep. Brian Beardsall), Sca Fell (rep. Andrew Walker) and Green Crag (rep. Chris Fildes).
In June, sadly, Janet Whinstanley informed us of the death of her husband Brian Winstanley.
