Ski Club of Manchester Cycling day — Sunday 26th June 2024

The weather was perfect for cycling, sunny but not too warm. Tom, Nigel, and David cycled from home to meet at Dunham, then followed a circuitous route via Cumberbach, Marbury Country Park, and Lostock Gralam to reach the Snowdrop Café at 12.30pm Ronan arrived at the same time. He’d already done a long bike ride earlier!

They all deserved medals probably clocking up over 50 miles each. Ronan a few miles more.

My effort was a park and ride from the bottom of Rostherne hilltop avoid the uphill slog on my way back. I cycled through Tatton Park, and Knutsford then around the back lanes to reach Grasslands and a circuit of the less tortuous Goosetree lanes to arrive at the Snowdrop Café at 12.15pm.
