Impromptu Bike Ride To Parm Place- Lead By Tom Russell

A On the 7th April this year a small group of cyclists rode through the quiet Cheshire lanes before stopping off at Parm Place.

Parm Place is part of the National Gardens Scheme gardens open for charity. For more details visit www.nsg.org.uk. It is at the home of Jane and Peter Fairclough in Great Budworth and is open twice a year.

After such a cold Spring the garden was a credit to Jane. The hellebores had a great display. The camellias, although still showing their potential, were only just starting to bloom. Jane showed us some photographs of the garden at the same time last year and there certainly was a difference. The garden will have time to get back to normal for the next garden opening at the end of June.

We continued on our bike ride after a welcome cup of tea and homemade cake and a chat to other ski club members. Why not join us for the Ski Club of Manchester road bike ride.
